SuperApply builds the academic pathway to the university you name and lets you apply to the schools on it. Doing that means holding a good deal about you, including your school record and your identity documents. This notice says what is held, why, and what you can do about it. It is written under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and to the standard the GDPR sets, so the same protections apply wherever you are applying from.
What we hold
Your intake answers: where you are in your education, what you have studied, the grades you report, the countries you would move to, and the university and course you are aiming at.
Your Super Profile and the documents you upload to it: transcripts, certificates, identity documents, references and anything else a school on your pathway asks for.
Your applications: which schools you chose, what was sent, what came back, and the correspondence that reached your SuperApply application address.
Your account and payment records: the personal email you signed up with, your sign-in sessions and devices, the fees raised against you and whether each was settled.
If you are under eighteen, your guardian's name, relationship to you and contact address, so consent can be asked for and recorded.
Why we hold it
Most of it is held to do the thing you asked for: work out your pathway, complete application forms, submit them and track what comes back. Without it there is no application.
Where you are under eighteen, we rely on the consent your guardian gives before anything is submitted, and that consent can be withdrawn.
A narrower set is held because we have to: financial records for as long as the law requires them, and sign-in and device records to keep accounts from being taken over.
We do not profile you for advertising, we do not sell anything about you, and we do not score you. Pathways are rated in bands with the reason written out, never as a percentage.
Who else sees it
The schools you choose to apply to. An application is your record going to an admissions office, so your Super Profile and the documents it carries reach every school you submit to. You choose the schools, and nothing is submitted until you do.
The providers that run the platform: hosting, email delivery, document storage and payment processing. Each is bound to use your data only to provide that service.
Your guardian, where you have one, sees what they need in order to consent and to authorise a payment. They never see your mail and never edit your record.
Nobody else. We do not sell personal data and we do not pass it to advertisers.
If you are under eighteen
You name a guardian during intake. They are sent a single-use link, they read what is being asked and they record their decision. Nothing is submitted to any school until that consent exists, and the consent lapses on your eighteenth birthday.
A guardian may withdraw consent at any time. Applications already submitted cannot be unsent, but nothing further will go out.
Where it goes and how long it stays
Applying abroad means your record leaves the country you are in. We transfer it only to the schools and providers named above, and only under the safeguards the Nigeria Data Protection Act and the GDPR require for a transfer of that kind.
We keep your account and your documents for as long as your admissions cycle is running, and afterwards for the period financial and academic records have to be kept. You can ask for a document to be removed earlier, and we will remove it unless an application already in flight depends on it.
What you can ask for
You can ask to see everything held about you, to have something wrong corrected, to have your data deleted, to receive a copy you can take elsewhere, to object to a particular use, and to withdraw consent that was given on your behalf.
Ask in the support bubble on any signed-in screen. Your request is logged and answered there, and anything the assistant cannot answer is passed on and comes back in the same thread. A guardian asks through the link they were sent, which carries the same rights over the record they consented to.
If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, or to the data protection authority in the country where you live.
Cookies and sessions
SuperApply sets a session cookie so that you stay signed in, and stores your appearance and currency preferences so screens come back the way you left them. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking pixels. Career DNA and intake work without an account and without a session. The cookie policy says more, and how to change your choice.
